First Halloween!

Alaina enjoyed her first Halloween!  She started her day out right at church where everyone handed out candy to the little ones dressed up.  Then we headed out to Grammy and Gramps’ house to show off her Ladybug costume.  She was a hit!  After that we were off to Aunt Julie and Uncle Jason’s house where we hit the streets running…ok, being held…with cousins Caleb and Nathan.  Mimi was there too!  It was a blast…although the picture below does not show it.  Jerzey enjoyed in dressing up in her glow-in-the-dark skeleton costume thanks to dog cousin Jake (he let Jerzey borrow it).

First Halloween:  success

You’d cry too if you were captured by a bounty hunter and inches away from an angry Hulk!

4 month shots don’t bother me!

Alaina had her 4 month doctor appointment today.  Her stats are as follows…she weighs 14 lbs. 12 oz. (70th percentile); and she is 26 in. tall (off the charts).  We are now allowed to introduce rice cereal!  After a few weeks of eating that, we can introduce vegetables, then fruit.  We are already looking forward to the funny faces she will make when trying these new foods.

You would never know she had 4 shots today and an oral vaccine.  She was a trooper!  I will say however, it is so hard to watch your child be stuck with needles and cry big alligator tears.  So, we came home and I cooked dinner and made home made cookies since she wasn’t phased by her injections.  Alaina was a huge help, as you can see!

Sleeping with Mom

Cousins=Fun times

Alaina had her two cousins over for dinner tonight.  Caleb enjoyed reading her first Halloween book to her.  Nate was more about trying out her Bumbo seat…still fits (questionable).

Trying to laugh / Loving Mom

Go Reds

Alaina could be crying and fussing, but set her in front of the TV when the Reds are playing and she becomes a happier (and quieter) baby.

Then, and now

What a difference three months makes.  The first picture was taken 5 days after Alaina was born, and the second, just recently.

We are figuring her out more and more each day.  She is settling into a routine very nicely:  Awake between 6am-7am.  Eat. Nap at 9am.  Eat.  Nap at 2pm-3pm. Eat.  Cat nap at 7:00pm.  Eat.  Bath at 8:30.  Eat. Asleep by 9pm – 930pm.  She is very good about sleeping 9-10 hours every night.  Much to her parent’s delight.

Alaina met Molly Maney for the first time this evening.  Molly was born just one week ago.  Monday Sept 20th.
